Get a Referral
To me, the best way to find a great plumber is by referral. Ask a friend or neighbor if they’ve had a great experience, paid a reasonable price, and found a professional who follows up on their work and comes right back out to fix any problem.
We value referrals as the most important clients that we get. Someone has said something good about us and we want to prove that it’s true.
Choose a Responsive Plumbing Company
This is my opinion, but the big plumbing companies were probably once very good to their customers. That’s how they grew and got big in the first place. But then, they started having a pretty high turnover of employees and new plumbers. They send someone else out every time you call; you don’t know what you’re going to get.
At the other end of that is the one-man plumbing outfit. If they’re good, they get busy and can be booked a week in advance. And if you have an emergency, they may have a hard time getting out to you.
You want a plumbing company that you know personally, one big enough that you can request the plumber(s) who you especially like to come to your house. You also want a company that works 24/7 and answers their phones. If you have an emergency water line break or your toilet’s flooding the bathroom in the middle of the night, you want somebody who’s going to respond, come out, and take care of things.
How Rocketman Plumbing Is Different
We are a 24-hour emergency plumbing service. We have an after-hours answering service that takes your information and calls me directly. I’ll call you back within 10 minutes and get someone out there.
Sometimes, I can tell you what to do over the phone (like turning off the water) to handle the emergency right then and there. If I can’t, it’s usually me that comes out to take care of the problem.
